We feel God's love when we read the Bible. God speaks to our hearts through His Word by the Holy Spirit. I also feel God's love when I'm in nature. I'm constantly astonished by the beauty of His Creation and feel that we humans are loved by the Creator. And, we feel God's love through other people. The following is what we've experienced recently.
① First of all, we'd like to thank you so much for supporting us with prayers. Your prayers enable us to follow God's calling in our life. We also extend our massive thanks to those who trust and support us with financial support. It even comes from people whom we don't even know. We know how your financial gift comes with a sacrifice. And I also know from my own experience that God will reward and provide for you, the cheerful givers. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7) Please know that your financial support is used with utmost care and responsibility in the Lord. We use it not only to support our family but also to show love to people whom God sends into our life, for the glory of our Lord. We experience God's love through your prayers and support.
② On 11 September Lior had his 8th birthday. In Austria school kids celebrate their birthdays with close friends but Sachi and I didn't have much energy left to organize a birthday party for Lior. Susanne and Eva, however kindly took an initiative to plan a party for him and Lior invited his good friends. It turned out to be an amazing and fun party for everyone. Lior's good friends from Japan also sent birthday wishes. Lior has been feeling the intensity of our current family situation and is worried and sensitive sometimes. He needed some fun time to relax and we felt God's care and love for Lior. We especially thank Susanne and Eva for their time and effort.
③ The amazing idea came from Esther and Susanne, and they made a "chemo countdown basket" for Sachi, together with friends and families. Each day Sachi gets a little gift with a letter or a Bible verse as encouragement until the end of the first round of the chemotherapy treatments.
The nights prior to it Sachi was in tears because she didn't want to continue on the treatments, as it's very hard. So, the basket came as a total surprise.
Sachi writes to a friend:
thank you so much for thinking of and caring for me❤️ it means a lot to me!! Because it’s sometimes hard to face the next day but now I have something to look forward to everyday!!
Sachi receives God's love from our friends here. We thank all our friends here.
④ Moreover, the family Langthaler, Lior's classmate's family so graciously walks with us as we face the most challenging time. The family Bruckmueller, another family of Lior's classmate looks after our kids when we go to the hospital. OM Austria leader, Andy understands our situation and kindly offers us help. Philipp, ex-OM Austria leader and my mentor here, helps me practically and spiritually. The family Spindles, Steven and Alison, Seraina, Leah and Alena help us with child-care and a ride to the hospital at 6:20am! People at Rhema church and Neue Heimat are an incredible blessing. Our non-Christian neighbors give us cooked food, etc to encourage Sachi. We feel almost knocked-out at times because of hardships but God is faithful. We experience God's love through our God's family here. Dankeschön.
Blessings come with responsibilities. We receive God's love through you and will give it to others who need to know that God loves them and that they need Him. We are blessed to be blessings for others.
One neighbor made Sushi for us/あるご近所さんはお寿司を作って持って来てくれました。
Another neighbor gave Sachi a lot of protein drinks for her to gain weights/また、他のご近所さんはサチの体重が減らないように、たくさんのプロテインドリンクをくれました。
聖書を読むとき、私たちは神の愛を感じます。神さまは御言葉を通して聖霊によって私たちの心に語られます。自然の中にいるとき、僕は神の愛を感じます。主の創造の美しさに驚き、私たち人間は創造主に愛されていると感じます。そして、私たちは他の人々を通して神の愛を感じます。最近このように神の愛を体験しました。
① まずはじめに、お祈りで私たちを支えてくださり心からありがとうございます。皆さんのお祈りが、私たちが主の召しに従うことを可能にしてくれます。また、私たち家族やY&Yミニストリーを信頼し、経済的支援をしてくださる方々にも心から感謝いたします。私たちが直接存じ上げない人からも支援していただいています。皆さんが犠牲をはらって経済的に支援してくださっているかを知っています。そしてこのことも私たち自身の経験から確信しています。主が進んで、喜んで与えてくださっている皆さんに豊かに報い、祝福してくださることを（第2コリント9：6-7）。皆さんからの尊い献金は、主にあって責任を持ち、大切に使わせていただいています。私たち家族を養うためだけでなく、神さまが人生に送ってくださる人々に神の愛を示すために用いています。皆さんのお祈りと経済的支援を通して、私たちは神の愛を体験しています。
② 9月11日、理央は8歳の誕生日を迎えました。オーストリアでは、小学生は親しい友だちと誕生会をして祝いますが、僕もサチも誕生会を計画・準備するエネルギーがありませんでした。しかし、スザナさんとエヴァ親子が親切にも理央のためにパーティーを計画してくれ、理央も仲の良い友だちを招待し、とても楽しいパーティーになりました。日本からも理央の友だちや相棒が誕生日にメッセージを送ってくれました。理央は小さいながらにも、現在の家族の状況を察し、時々心配して敏感になっています。理央もリラックスできる楽しい時間を必要としていました。そんな時の誕生会、私たちは理央への神さまのケアと愛を感じました。特に、多くの時間と労を担ってくれたスザナさんとエヴァ親子に感謝をお伝えします。
③ この素晴らしいアイデアはエスターとスザナさんから生まれました。このアイデアとは、「抗がん剤・カウントダウン・バスケット」。彼女たちは友人や家族と一緒にサチのために作ってくれたのです。抗がん剤の前半ラウンドが終了するまで、サチは毎日、励ましとして手紙または聖書の一節を添えた小さな贈り物を受け取ります。
抗がん剤がとても辛いので、治療を続けたくないと涙を流す夜がありました。だから、バスケットは全くのサプライズ（驚き）だったのです。
サチはこう書いています：
私のことを思ってケアしてくれてありがとう❤️バスケットは私にとって大きな意味があります!! 翌日を迎えるのが辛い日があるけど、バスケットがあるから、明日が来るのが楽しみです!!
サチはオーストリアの友人たちから神の愛を受け取っています。友人たちに感謝します。
④ さらに、理央のクラスメイトの家族であるLangthalerファミリーは、私たちの最も困難な時期に、私たちと共に歩んでくれています。理央の別のクラスメイトの家族、Bruckmuellerファミリーは、私たちが病院に行くときに子どもたちの世話をしてくれます。 OMオーストリアの代表であるアンディさんは私たちの状況を理解し、助けのオファーしてくれます。OMオーストリアの元代表で、ここでの僕のメンターであるフィリップさんは、実践的かつ霊的な面で助けてくれます。Spindlerファミリーやスティーブン＆アリソンは子守で、セライナ、レアとアレーナは、午前6時20分に病院への車でサチを送ってくれます。レマ教会とノイエ・ハイマットの人々は信じられないほどの祝福です。私たちノンクリスチャンのご近所さんは、サチを励ますために料理した食べ物などをくれたりします。私たちは時々ノックアウト寸前かと思うぐらいに体力的にも精神的にも追い込まれますが、神さまはいつも忠実です。私たちはここの神の家族を通しても神の愛を体験しています。Dankeschön.
祝福には責任が伴うことを知っています。私たちは皆さんを通して神の愛を受けています。そして、神の愛をさらに他の人へと流し出したいと願っています。神さまに愛されていることをまだ知らない人のところへ、神さまを必要としている人のところへ。祝福の基として用いていただきたいと思います。
